Infused cannabis beverages leader, BevCanna, has acquired Carmanah Craft Corp. and, along with it, an extensive library of outdoor cannabis strains.
According to BevCanna’s Chief Strategy Officer, John Campbell, the acquisition puts the company in a position to become one of Canada’s top producers of sun-grown cannabis.
“Together with the recently announced increase in our outdoor cannabis cultivable land to almost 300 acres, the acquisition of Carmanah’s proven outdoor genetics will allow BevCanna to develop into one of the largest outdoor cannabis cultivators in Canada,” said Campbell.
Bevcanna’s acquisition of the cannabis genetics expert includes 50 premium cannabis strains and over 25 types of cannabis seeds. A large portion of the genetics are outdoor strains that originated in California. These include top mould-resistant, high yielding, auto flower seeds which promise 2kg+ of yield per plant.
“This deal will dramatically increase our overall cannabis yield projections,” said BevCanna’s Head of Cultivation, Joey Bedard-Brunet.
BevCanna develops and manufactures CBD-infused beverages and consumer products for in-house brands and white label clients. The company operates a 292-acre outdoor cultivation site in BC’s Okanagan Valley, along with a 40,000-square-foot HACCP certified bottling facility, and has exclusive rights to a spring water aquifer.
